Day One - Learn the basics of eco dyeing by boiling plants
Day Two - Continue to dye using fabrics and introduction to the heat press
Day Three - All Art! What to do with all these lovely papers and fabrics to turn them into art and journals.

Batik - Layer by Layer Workshop
One Day class
Minimum - 5 students

Learn how to use soy wax resist to create a batik effect
on fabrics and then add layers of textures.

Using Nature as Your Teacher
Five day retreat in the mountain of Colorado
Located in The Ranch of The Rockies
Arrive on Sunday and spend 5 day in nature and quiet to
create your own unique and individual art. Departing
Saturday morning.
Each day will start with a nature walk, followed by a group teaching of how to recreate what you experienced in nature.
All day instructions and dinner followed by an evening of hand stitching and comraderie.
All food provided with breakfast and lunch prepared by your group and dinner provided by catering or me!
Each meal will meet dietary restrictions and be made from organic products.

East of Buena Vista (30 minutes)
West of Colorado Springs (90 minutes)
and south of Fairplay ( 30 minutes)
Main bedroom/bath on main floor
Two large bunk rooms and bath upstairs
Abundance of hiking in the area as well as great shopping in Buena Vista and Fairplay. A day trip to St. Elmo's or the hot springs. It is truly the quietest place to experience!
LECTURES
The Healing Art of Hand Stitch
​Join me as I take us on a journey of my
discovery of hand stitching, through my deep and profound healing and forgiveness of my mother.
Then continue the adventure of the women of Uganda and going deep into the village to teach 50 women how to use art for their own healing and to provide an income for their families.

Hear My Voice: Art Inspired by the stories of Marginalized Women From Prison to Uganda
Hear the stories of women from prison, rescued from trafficking, Lebanon, and Uganda, who have shaped and influenced my art through the telling of their stories.
COST - $300.00
All workshop and lectures are scheduled by the participants. Please contact me and I will make arrangements for times and places at your convenience.
I am willing to travel with the cost of transportation or travel expense in my car and the living expenses on the road to be provided by the organization or students.
