RUSH OF WATER
Rush of Water is based on a book of poetry written by my daughter, Chara DeWolf. Chara wrote the poetry in story form, chronicling a young woman’s journey of realizing that her self worth isn’t based on a man’s love, but on her own inner beauty. Even though the poetry isn’t Chara’s auto biography, it mirrors her own story a bit too closely for a mothers heart to not be drawn in. In 2010, when Chara asked me proof read her work, I was drawn into the visual imagery and asked if she minded if I did a few pieces based on her words. This work is a combination of Chara’s love of the written word and my love of the visual.
